[UPDATE 3/17/26: A few years ago, I turned out a research paper seeking alternative locations for The Land of Eden beyond Mesopotamia. A few ancient texts directed my gaze towards the theoretical lost continent of Lemuria smack dab in the Pacific, also known as Mu or Meru. Though to be honest, I’ve drifted back to Mesopotamia, being unsure of my findings. Readers have been asking me to give it another try and look into the Philippines, which is so close to the proposed lost continent as to practically be the same location. Tim and Anna Schwab of The God Culture as well as Noble and Lisa George of Hebrew Hawaiian certainly believe that to be the case. Not only do they believe the Philippines is where it’s at—or rather was—but they have also identified Tarshish there, which was another local in my investigation. But wait, there’s more.
In the Philippines there is a tree called Syzygium curranii, though it is commonly known as lipote. Get to know this tree well because the Schwab’s and the George’s believe it is descended from THE TREE. You know which one. What are those roundish red and purple things growing upon it—could it be…? Go back and read 1 Enoch 32:1-6 again. We read of clusters of grapes but not on a vineyard. In response to this very paper which you hold in your hands, I have had many readers play the part of Captain Obvious. Yeah, I know. Clearly, vineyards are not trees.
