ALL this Genghis Khan talk got me thinking about the other Khan from Star Trek. He appeared in the 1967 episode ‘Space Seed’ as well as the 1982 movie, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, which in turn has me thinking again about the historical Genghis Khan, and the fact that he killed Prester John, according to The Travels of Marco Polo. Prester John was a Millennial Kingdom era priest-king living on the edge of the eastern world, a hop and a skip from terestrial paradise. Those of you who have read The Legend of Prester John will know I’ve put a lot of research and thought into him. If Khan and Khan are intended to be the same person, then who was the Prester John in the Star Trek movie? Spock, obviously. Khan killed both Prester John and Spock, not a coincidence. There are other obvious similarities, but before I get too far ahead of myself, I think it would be a good idea to hash out some information first given in my Prester John paper.
