WHEN WHAT REMAINS OF THE CHURCH IS SEIZED AND CARRIED OFF BY FORCE in the “Harpazo,” what Paul referred to as our blessed hope—also known by many as the doctrine of the rapture—I am expected of my Copernican contemporaries to believe that a great many of us will be whisked side-to-side, north, south, east or west of us—literally in any given direction of a globular compass—ascending and descending again over and around the circumference of the spheroid or “pear-shaped” Earth before we are allowed our final vertical ascent to gather with the Lord. Furthermore, as He is physically embodied and therefore restricted to space, we must assume there will be some great light refraction employed in order for every eye to see Him, with emphasis on the illusion, so that the observer may be tricked into thinking they are really seeing the Lord when in fact they are looking upon a superior mirage embedded well-beyond the very curvature He allowed for.

I am not in any way mocking the Word of God, nor am I dismissing the long-promised blessed hope of the Lord’s return, but rather, as one who strictly adheres as a Biblical Literalist to the pages of Holy Writ, I would like the reader to understand that such language which must be inferred upon for the Doctrine of “Globe Earth” to co-exist among the Bible’s day-to-day players simply isn’t given. Such nonsense was not even in the hindsight of Hebrew thinking, led no less than by the Holy Ghost, who guided each stroke of their pen.

In the entire canon of Scripture there is never an example imparted which will naturally lead its modern interpreter to believe that heaven is east or west of us, side-to-side, here among us, and certainly not below. If heaven is any number of dimensions removed from ours, why are we then led to believe a person must travel in the up direction, being fully visible to the grounded viewer for the duration of that person’s entire ascent, so as to reach the heights of highest heaven? The simplest employed logic should undoubtedly show that the Hebrew writer was not thinking in terms of a spinning globe traveling at several-hundred-thousand miles per hour through an infinite measurement of cosmos. If I am to take the stroke of the Hebrew’s pen to its word, it appears as though the whole of God’s Testimony takes place in an enclosed system, with the highest heaven heralding its crowning focus.

So when Elijah was taken to heaven, naturally he went up.

“And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” 2 Kings 2:11 (KJV)

Yeshua went up too.

“And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.” Acts 1:9 (KJV)

When they built the tower up, God said, “Let us go down.” Genesis 11:7. And to Moses God spoke, “I am come down to deliver them.” Exodus 3:8.

One of the very first Scripture verses which came to the forefront of my mind, once I’d discovered this marvelous truth of Flat Earth, is Philippians 2:10, where Paul writes: “that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth…” Given the fact that bowing before Yeshua is a mandatory observation for all, I can conclude that he wasn’t being metaphorical when he described those above or those below.

And where might this heaven be, if it is situated above us? Why, to the north, of course.

If a boy fixes his eyesight on Polaris, the northern-most star, the luminaries will surely swing around it in a counterclockwise position, though Polaris itself moves not an inch. Let’s say that boy can see Polaris through a single pane of glass in his childhood home and then leaves on extended vacation—to college in the Southern Hemisphere, if you prefer—-and upon returning to his childhood home as an old man some fifty years later, he will undoubtedly find that Polaris is still fixed permanently in place through that very pane of glass, where he last left it for safekeeping.

Considering there was half a century added to his life from the time he last set his gaze upon Polaris through that single plane of glass, history will affirm my correctness in stating that he did indeed trust his senses many times over so as not to die. We can rightfully assume, for instance, that he looked both ways before crossing the street more often than once. Instinctively concluding that no cars were coming, and that indeed no cars ever hit him when he acted upon it, his senses proved an agreeable companion.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson, our modern day enforcer for the religion of Scientism, recently stated, “The Universe is under no obligation to make sense to you.”

Our senses are the most dependable gifts given by God, so that no man is without excuse. Globe logic however teaches us that our senses are recyclable at best, should they supersede the doctrine of Scientism which, if I am to take the globe model as literal, then acts as a daily irritant The sun and the moon look the same size. They even follow the same trail in the sky. And yet our Scientists and Astronomers have the inside knowledge that nothing in which the Holy Ghost wrote about of the sun and moon in Creation is true.

The North Star is stationary, just as the Earth is stationary, just as the sun and the moon and the stars in the firmament move about us. Our senses claim all of this to be true.

The Bible does too.

So when the Harpazo happens, for those of us who remain and are seized and carried off by force into our Lord’s good company, we can rightly assume—if the Bible’s Cosmology has anything to say of it—which direction we’ll be traveling in.

And it’s not down.
