Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore was arraigned in court on Friday for multiple charges after his shocking firing over allegations of having an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member.
“Prosecutors charged Moore with one felony, third-degree home invasion and two misdemeanors: stalking in a domestic relationship and breaking and entering,” ESPN wrote.
“The married former coach could face up to six years behind bars. Moore is accused of breaking into the home of his executive assistant before grabbing knives and threatening to hurt himself. According to reports, the woman had broken up with her boss, who was fired for the inappropriate relationship, just days prior,” Collin Rugg wrote.
“Moore is a married father of three and was making over $5 million a year as Michigan’s head coach. Moore’s bond was set on Friday at $25,000. He has been ordered to wear a GPS tracking device,” he continued.

Prosecutors said Friday that Moore forced entry into the staff member’s apartment and said, “I’m going to kill myself. I’m going to make you watch. My blood is on your hands. You ruined my life.”
Moore appeared by video conference at the arraignment, stating his name and clearly answering two questions with, “Yes, your honor.” He wore a white jumpsuit, his expression sullen and his hands folded on his lap. He appeared to wince as the prosecutor went through the timeline of his actions.
First assistant prosecutor Kati Rezmierski detailed the timeline of Moore’s actions after the firing, as he “barged his way” into the woman’s apartment. He went to a drawer in the kitchen and “grabbed several butter knives and a pair of kitchen scissors” before threatening to take his own life.
The prosecutor also detailed that Moore had an “intimate relationship” with the woman he worked with for “a number of years” before she broke up with him Monday.
In addition to wearing a GPS tracking device, Moore must “continue all mental health treatment” as a condition of his bond.
Moore was also ordered to avoid contact with the “named victim,” Detroit Free Press noted.
