Rain
by Laura Robinson
It falls down your face mixed with tears from pain and sorrow
As it pours down on you and beats into your skin, let it wash away the stains from unwanted blood and fears
It creates a feeling of pleasure you desire more than love, because you know not of mercy and grace that God has sent
Crashes of thunder fill your head disrupting the soft sullen voices of angels all around
Flashes of lightening blind your eyes to the beautiful faces placed in front of you
You run and scream to get away from the truth that you’ve hid in a casket of doom
Like worms rot the wood the stench of lies leak out and begin to unfold the past that was buried
Deep in the ground you prayed it would stay but rain floods the creeks and washes away the dirt and grim releasing the truth
Face your fears that long need reproof
