THE ANCIENT WAR
Randy Conway
This is the story of an ancient war.
It began somewhere in eternity long before
Adam or Eve walked across Eden’s floor
In another dimension an unearthly shore
It is a time and place we cannot comprehend,
with one who’s called the “Son of the Morning” we will begin.
Now in this time, this rebellious star,
was more beautiful by far than all the creatures living there.
The music of his lips would fill the air.
But this Light Bearer was not content;
for some time, he did lament.
Then with a thought, Just a passing thought,
never thought before, he grabs the thought and ponders it yet more.
And it’s within this thought begins the war.
This arrogant angel, who often is called Lucifer, with others he doth now confer.
To test the depth of their loyalty, to see if they might possibly,
join within his company.
One third of the angels filed into heavens streets,
and with this rebellious Principality they did meet.
To wage their war on the Omnipotent One,
His very Spirit, and His own Son.
I don’t know if angels bleed, or how the war engaged;
But it lasted more than weeks or months for the war persists today.
Were there wounded? Did some die?
What did happen in that battle in the sky?
Answers to these questions we may still seek
But there is one fact above all else that we need see;
That the Creator God, the evil one fighting,
cast Satan from heaven like a bolt of lightning!
And the serpent did plummet through dimensions and space
Eventually causing the world before Adam to become desolate.
The world of earth now void and without form
And the war continues as the Nacash storms
To the garden God had planted in the earth,
For in six days the Creator had given the world new birth.
Adam, in the image of God was placed in this new creation
Charged by God to bring redemption and in Eden he was stationed.
Now the Nacash, being unable to upset heavens’ throne,
And since he was expelled from his celestial home,
The Shining One devised a new battle plan,
To conquer God by killing man.
His instrument gone–
His first love abandoned,
A plan is set to enter Eden.
Revenge does grow within his heart as he lays in wait in Eden.
To wound the Father, Satan plans to do it through His children.
He takes aim and sets his sights on Creations Crown.
A little lie is all it takes to bring them tumbling down.
And this fallen angel laughs at the garden gate as man is driven out.
A fatal blow, Satan thinks he’s given, in fact he has no doubt.
But Satan did not know that before He made the man, God had made a plan
which would redeem the fallen world and redeem the fallen man.
Satan devises a new strategy for battle; the battle plan is now Satan’s creed
For the war was moved from heaven’s dimension to an assault upon the seed.
The Serpent would stop at nothing to destroy the seed of God coming through the man
But through every generation the seed line remained protected for in eternity God had devised His ultimate unalterable plan.
Through time and trial the seed was corrupted and monstrosities roamed the earth
The Ben-Elohim took the women they thought fair and giants were given birth.
It seemed the seed would all be corrupt then none could be redeemed, thus causing God’s perfect plan to wane.
But the Watcher’s didn’t see the perfect generations spared and they didn’t see the rain!
But the flood was just another battle raging in this ancient war
It was not the final battle, nor the ultimate plan, there would be yet more.
For you see this plan was made, before God laid,
The foundations of the earth.
And Satan did not realize
When angels sang and filled the skies
They were announcing the Saviors birth!
And now this tiny little fraction
Would start in place an action
Prompting hell’s reaction
To seek the Prince’s death.
And so the war raged on
Through time and space
Leading to a battle place,
Called Calvary.
Then Satan in his vanity
Thought he had accomplished victory
When upon a rugged tree,
Jesus died!
Now all of heaven’s angels had to be restrained
As the spirits in prison mocked Jesus’ name,
Singing an insane refrain;
“Jesus died. The seed is gone.”
And the demons danced and sang their victory song.
Lucifer and his fallen band
Seemed to have the upper hand,
The ancient war now in their grasp,
As heaven’s Prince breathed His last.
Satan and his minions celebrated for three days–
But then – BUT THEN– there was a stirring at the grave.
The earth was shaking and Satan was running
Because the Son of man was coming
Out of the grave victorious!!
Jesus stood alive again His lungs filled with breath
And in His hands He held the keys, the keys to hell and death.
By Jesus’ blood, Satan’s plan like his head was crushed.
And the blood that Jesus shed was so much more than just enough
To seal the victory in the ancient war
That rages today as it did before.
With one unmistakable difference–
The battle rages, but the war is won.
Victory assured by God’s own Son.
And the second Adam accomplished what the first could not
He redeemed the world and the fallen man upon that cross.
Now the nacash has not yet surrendered and his seed still grows today
Let those with ears now hear what the scriptures say.
A monumental battle is coming it lies yet ahead
There will be much suffering and many will lay dead.
But rest assured Jesus is coming with victory won just as the prophets said.
He will not be restrained by flesh again; He’s coming with many crowns upon His head
For He is the only King of Kings! And He is the only Lord of Lords!
Perhaps not as you have been taught or previously imagined
Possibly more than ever before fathomed.
A previous reign a former judgment
Are the signs on the earth the resultant?
Of an event hidden or untold
Obscured by time, by history and now unknown?
It does not change our history or alter what is to come
The final judgment lies yet before us, and all men and angels will succumb.
Succumb to that day of judgment when every knee will bow
On that day of heaven’s court in session every tongue will avow
That the chosen seed of all eternity Jesus Christ is Lord!
Even the fallen rebellious star will bow before the Son,
He will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and that God has won!
This is the day the saints are longing for
An age when time is expired and will be no more
For it will bring an end to this very ancient war.
