Taken
by Laura Robinson
(How I felt about getting on the bus each morning and being taken to public school)
I walked drearily to the end of the road, there it came again and again,
to take me to the abyss where your mind could be no more and your soul never was.
Everyday I went only to be crushed and broken.
To have to be what no one else can be and live with all others.
They scorned me and tore my spirit into pieces.
To see heaven would be the final day I was taken away and set free for the journey to my never-ending life.
