This is absolutely disgusting…
Strangle your three small children — allegedly! — and raise $715,000 for it?
Let’s take a look.
Starting here, which I saw and assumed it had to be fake, right?
Women are now raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for Lindsay Clancy, a woman who strangled 3 of her children to death.

Well, it’s not.
It’s real.
Grok confirms it is real:
Yes, this is true.
A GoFundMe campaign called “The Musgrove Family Fund” was created for Lindsay Clancy’s parents, Mike and Paula Musgrove (of Wallingford, Connecticut). It supports the costs they’ve incurred by relocating and attending her court proceedings over the past three-plus years while she faces trial for the 2023 deaths of her three children.
As of the latest available data (around August 16, 2026), it has raised over $715,000 toward a $2 million goal, with more than 22,000 donations. News reports from the preceding days noted it had already surpassed $500,000 and then $600,000 shortly after launch.
Direct GoFundMe link:
The organizer is Brandee Mulligan. The page states the funds go directly to the parents for travel, lodging, living expenses, and related costs of supporting their daughter; it does not ask donors to take a position on the criminal case itself. Lindsay Clancy’s attorney is aware of it, and the parents are the named beneficiaries.
(Note: This is distinct from the earlier 2023 GoFundMe that raised over $1 million for her then-husband Patrick Clancy.)
I confirmed it myself, from the GoFundMe page itself (here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-for-lindsay-clancys-parents) this is what it looks like:
That would be $715,000 and counting….on it’s way to $2 million.
Wow.
To be fair, the actual listing says the money is for the woman’s parents and family, but I don’t know if that makes it better:
The Musgrove Family Fund UPDATED 8/15/26:In January 2023, Lindsay Clancy was accused of killing her three young children in their Duxbury, Massachusetts home. She is now on trial. The Musgrove Family Fund is for the two people who have remained at her side through every step of what followed: her parents, Mike and Paula Musgrove. For more than three years, Mike and Paula have shown up for Lindsay. They have attended her court proceedings and relocated from their Connecticut home to Massachusetts so they can be close to their daughter. Paula is retired. Mike is a photographer. They have spent years absorbing the travel, lodging, and living costs required to remain close to their daughter, drawing down savings they spent a lifetime building. They have not walked away from their daughter, and they have never been unclear about why: they love her. Nothing about this fund asks anyone to share their view of Lindsay or the criminal case. It asks donors to recognize the extraordinary financial burden her parents have carried simply by continuing to be present. The purpose of this fund is to help Mike and Paula rebuild the financial stability they have sacrificed over these past three years. Contributions will help cover the accumulated costs of travel, lodging, living expenses, and other family expenses arising from their continued support of Lindsay throughout her case. Mike and Paula are the named beneficiaries and direct recipients of the fundraiser through GoFundMe. The fund was established with their knowledge and consent, and Lindsay’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, is aware of it. The Musgroves will control the funds and determine how they are used for the purposes described above. The case will eventually reach its conclusion. Whatever that outcome is, Mike and Paula will still have to pick up the pieces of the lives they have put on hold to be there for their daughter. They should not have to face that future without the financial foundation they spent decades building. If you believe Mike and Paula deserve that support, please donate or share the Musgrove Family Fund. Thank you so much for your time.
CT Insider had more info here:
Mike and Paula Musgrove have been fixtures at all of Clancy’s court dates since she was charged with the murders of Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months old, following their deaths in January 2023, according to the GoFundMe.
The couple has been seen in the courtroom every day since the trial started in Plymouth Superior Court on July 27.
“The Musgrove Family Fund is for the two people who have remained at her side through every step of what followed: her parents, Mike and Paula Musgrove,” the GoFundMe said. “For more than three years, Mike and Paula have shown up for Lindsay. They have attended her court proceedings and relocated from their Connecticut home to Massachusetts so they can be close to their daughter. Paula is retired. Mike is a photographer. They have spent years absorbing the travel, lodging and living costs required to remain close to their daughter, drawing down savings they spent a lifetime building. They have not walked away from their daughter and they have never been unclear about why: they love her.”
Clancy is charged with three counts of murder. The children were strangled with exercise bands while her then-husband, Patrick Clancy, was out picking up dinner and medication the evening of Jan. 24, 2023. After strangling the children, Clancy slit her wrists and neck, and jumped out of the couple’s second-story bedroom window. She is paralyzed from the fall and uses a wheelchair.
I don’t know, I guess I’ve never been in their shoes so I can’t judge, but if one of my kids (allegedly) strangled to death three grandchildren, I’m not sure I’d still be supporting them.
Tough call I guess.
How about you?
