BREAKING: Attempted Trump Assassin Blames Iran

Uncategorized

A couple days ago, we picked up on something President Trump said in passing that not many people noticed…

He said Iran tried to assassinate him twice.

Of course we know about the two infamous assassination attempts, one in Butler and one at Mar-a-Lago, but I asked the question whether he was talking about these two attempts or maybe two we had never heard of before.

And today we got the answer, it was the latter.

Watch here, from Fox News:

FULL TRANSCRIPT:

Reporter: …in the federal trial of a Pakistani man. Prosecutors accuse him of plotting to assassinate American political leaders, including President Trump. He says Iran was behind it all.

Alexis McAdams is outside the Brooklyn Federal Courthouse in New York City. Alexis.

Alexis McAdams: Hi, Harris. Yeah, an interesting case that really not a lot of viewers knew about when it happened in 2024 because President Trump was out on the campaign trail, and there was so much going on and so many other threats.

But that’s when police say Asif Merchant came here from Pakistan because he says Iranian leadership told him to, said, “Hunt down President Trump, hire a couple of guys that can take him out at a political rally.”

So, take a look here on your screen. This is who we’re talking about. He’s sitting there inside of that Brooklyn Federal Courthouse right now as those closing arguments are underway.

47 years old, he’s facing federal terrorism charges and could spend the rest of his life behind bars. Merchant testified, Harris, in his own federal trial, and he explained this, making this drawing again that he said Iranian leaders gave him back in 2024.

Really doesn’t look like there’s much to it. It looks like, you know, like a kid drew it or something, but that’s the sketch of a rally site.

Merchant was arrested just one day before Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania, and later told the feds that he believed Iran was behind that attack because it was so similar to the plan that they gave him, kind of get up in an elevated place, go to a rally, and create all this chaos so the gunmen can get away.

Merchant says Iran wants revenge for the killing of their top military leader, Qasem Soleimani, and threats continue as the US just bombed Iran and took out its ayatollah, so we’re expecting even more threats here, possibly on the homeland according to the feds.

Back out here live in Brooklyn, prosecutors say the evidence, Harris, is pretty damning in this case. They say he actually paid 2 FBI agents thousands of dollars in cash telling them to take out President Trump because he thought they were hitmen, and then also, um, a lot of other things including writing the entire thing down on a hotel napkin.

Harris: Wow.

And in doing my research for this article, I think I also came across the second one.

This is from back in 2024, different guy:

So there you have it, that officially brings the attempted assassination attempts on Donald J. Trump that we know about up to four.

I have no doubt there have been many more we don’t know about.

ICONIC: President Trump Says “I Got Him Before He Got Me”

In an absolutely iconic statement, President Trump told ABC News: “I got him before he got me.  They tried twice.  Well, I got him first.”

The President was speaking of course about the “Supreme Leader” Khamenei.

President Trump refers to Iran trying twice, and it is unclear if President Trump is implying Iran was behind Butler, PA and the Mar-a-Lago attempt or whether these are two separate, previously unknown attempts.

Meanwhile, does everyone remember in 2022 when Khamenei published a video depicting Trump’s assassination online?

From The Independent:

Iran’s supreme leader has released an animated video on his official website depicting the assassination of former US president Donald Trump, a blunt and provocative gesture at a time of ongoing international talks about the Iranian nuclear programme.

The video, which appeared late on Wednesday on the website of supreme leader Ali Khamenei, shows Iranian military officials manoeuvring high-tech surveillance and unmanned combat vehicles toward Mr Trump while he plays golf in a subtropical setting similar to his Florida home.

It follows the second anniversary of the US’s 3 January 2020 assassination of Qassem Soleimani, the former commander and architect of Iran’s overseas clandestine paramilitary operations.

Last week, Iran announced sanctions on Mr Trump and 50 other current and former US officials allegedly involved in the operation to kill Soleimani in a Baghdad drone strike that also struck and killed Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis, former leader of Iran’s militias.

Those added to the largely symbolic Iranian sanctions list included general Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and former White House national security adviser Robert O’Brien. The US called the sanctions a provocation.

“We will work with our allies and partners to deter and respond to any attacks carried out by Iran,” US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said in a statement on Sunday in response to the sanctions. “Should Iran attack any of our nationals, including any of the 52 people named yesterday, it will face severe consequences.”

Semi-official Iranian media outlets have previously published or broadcast violent anti-American material.

Last year, a Twitter account associated with Mr Khamenei, a high-ranking Shia cleric or ayatollah, was suspended for posting an image of the shadow of a drone over an image of a plump Mr Trump playing golf.

Posting the Trump video to Mr Khamenei’s official website suggested a further escalation. The two-minute clip was the winner of a competition organised to honour Mr Soleimani, who had a personal relationship with the supreme leader.

The video opens with a shot of a figure strongly resembling Trump playing golf while a remote-controlled robot moves past security cameras disarmed by a remote hacker.

The drone operator, with portraits of Mr Soleimani and Mr Muhandi on the computer console in front of him, puts Mr Trump in his sights and then texts a message vowing revenge to one of the former president’s golfing pals.

The video ends before the airstrike is launched.

The video has since been scrubbed from his account, but I still have a copy.

This is the video he posted in 2022 threatening Trump:

Meanwhile, here is one of the new leaders (for now?) chanting “Death to America” back in 2019:

Seems like a charming fellow!
