Tucker Carlson Breaks With Trump Over Attack On Iran: “It’s Disgusting and Evil”

Uncategorized

Tucker Carlson is not a fan of President Trump’s decision to attack Iran.

When asked by an ABC News correspondent about Trump’s recent decision to launch attacks on Iran, Tucker Carlson stated the military campaign was “disgusting and evil.”

Tucker’s comments come after just days the former Fox News host was spotted at the White House.

ABC News broke tehs tory:

The Trump administration’s decision to launch a military operation against Iran has triggered an angry backlash from some of President Donald Trump’s top MAGA supporters.

After the launch of what Trump announced was a “massive and ongoing operation” to topple the Iranian regime and end their nuclear ambitions once and for all, some stalwart MAGA backers pushed back hard.

In an interview Saturday morning with ABC News chief Washington correspondent Jon Karl, former Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson condemned the joint U.S.-Israel attack on Iran.

Carlson, a long-time Trump supporter, said the attack on Iran is “absolutely disgusting and evil.” He also suggested it will have a significant effect on Trump’s political movement, saying, “This is going to shuffle the deck in a profound way.”

This isn’t the first time Carlson has been critical of Trump’s military operations in the Middle East.

The Independent provided Tucker’s previous remarks on Trump’s decision to bomb Iran’s nuclear sites last year:

However, he has previously been highly critical of U.S. foreign intervention in the Middle East and has been extremely vocal in his criticism of the Israeli government, describing escalating conflicts with Iran as a “reckless” effort to serve the interests of Tel Aviv.

Following the previous U.S. strike on Iran in June last year, Carlson wrote in his newsletter that Trump was “complicit” in such efforts by Israel and warned that getting further involved would be “suicidal.”

Shortly after, Carlson went viral for an interview with Texas Senator Ted Cruz in which he accused him of not knowing enough about Iran to comment on the situation. Cruz had called the overthrow of the Iranian government but was unable to answer basic questions about the nation such as its population.

Carlson also later received backlash for a separate interview with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, with critics alleging that he provided a platform for regime propaganda without sufficient pushback.
