The world would have us believe that all women (and even men) need to be feminists – that we need to fight for women’s rights and equality, because, of course, there isn’t equality in Western society these days. We are told that women should have a career and prioritize ourselves over our families. We hear that staying at home to be homemakers and to care for our families is antiquated and a form of slavery and oppression. Women in society today are loud, lewd, dress to leave little or nothing to the imagination, glorify sleeping around, fight for the “right” to murder their unborn children, and even proclaim that the world doesn’t need men! I’d like to compare the modern feminist with Biblical femininity and what the Scriptures say about womanhood.
