HEAVEN AND ALL THAT IS IN THE HEAVENS is not for the taking—this is a truth made pointedly clear in the opening chapter of the Bible. All that is within the Earth is ours to subdue and have dominion over, says the Lord. But the heavens, find me a single passage in the entire Canon of Holy Writ—it’s nowhere that I can find—where the realm of the luminaries, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy, were permitted by God as an infinite expanse in which we might have interface with, a fence to climb over and explore, let alone conquer or subdue, religiously, philosophically, or even scientifically. 

“27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.” Genesis 1:27-30 (KJV)

The other day I challenged the notion that “technology” and “scientific understanding” is a means by which God pours out His grace upon the world, when it’s portrayed nowhere in Scripture as such. I furthermore suggested angelic involvement in the fast-paced discoveries of such scientific advancement, backed of course by Enoch’s proclamation of such. He has much to say about the luminaries also. The Bible’s comparison of angels with the stars which NASA also claims to explore should spark our passions with even more astonished ferocity. There’s an unmistakable connection between the two. Is it merely a coincidence that the planets, which God never mentions as existing anywhere in His creation but we know in Enoch to be the rebellious “wandering stars”—a view which the Epistle of Jude furthermore upholds—are presently given the occultist name of gods? I guess this is a challenge to my brothers and sisters in Christ to find justification in Scripture for our space-race “Manifest Destiny,” if you will, or man’s involvement in the realm of those recorded angels.

“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” Jude 1:6

A devout Christian would never dream that he or she is professing to have faith in two contradictory systems, especially of the religious nature, and which if understood could not be held together in a reasonable mind. But to the believer in Christ, this is what is so important about the doctrine of Flat Earth. It’s not simply a debate over the shape of the world. If this were so, I wouldn’t be writing about it tirelessly (to the frustration of many), and globe believing Christians would not become so heated, infuriated even, at the mere consideration that their devotion to NASA—the very organization which forbids the mention of Jesus’ name—is somehow not of God. And yet I urge you, brothers and sisters, to scour through the Holy Scriptures and find God’s commissioning that we should dominate and subdue the heavens, let alone have deeper knowledge of, in addition to the Earth. How is this a mission which aligns itself with man’s stated purpose?

If God went out of His way to let us know He spread a solid firmament over the Earth, with waters which once drowned the whole world still sitting above that, as the Psalmist and later the Apostle Peter attests to—even if you laugh at the “literal interpretation” of such a statement (Peter promised this very denial would happen as a sign of the times) and subscribe only to the metaphorical, perhaps for your own comfort of mind—the conclusion is still the same. This should be immediately clear to any rational thinker that we have no business going beyond a barrier by which God in the very least claimed to have constructed—or to even make an attempt at it.

Nimrod flung arrows at God, and now we fire rockets. I simply can’t take the willful arrogance anymore, the dutiful pride dominated by a righteous sense of western nationalism. We Christians are to be different than the rest. Satan has deceived us all into committing ourselves to his work. False teaching has taken the church captive.

It was our Lord Jesus who said:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” John 10:1 (KJV)

There is only one way in which we are permitted to ascend into the heavens, and that is through Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus Christ our Lord. Everyone else, by whatever method, is breaking in through the back way. Reader beware. Let us fall humbly before our God and know what He has declared to us is worthy of our consideration, obedient adherence, and above all else is true.
