Call On His Name

by | Aug 1, 2020

And why call ye me, ADONAI, ADONAI, and do not את the things which I say?

LUQAS (LUKE) 6:46 את CEPHER

Do you who profess messiah keep his ways (Torah)? Or do you want to put on a facade? You can’t serve two masters. Either you keep ALL his ways or you don’t. You can’t pick and choose.

There are many verses that tell us to call upon his name when in trouble. But the name has been hidden, lied about, blasphemed and downright butchered for so long that it grieves me that people don’t even care about the name or think it isn’t important. Well, I have news for you, it is. There are countless verses that tell us to call on his name. And countless verses that tell us that is His name is the one that we are saved by.

Let’s begin to look over a few of these verses. Hopefully this will help you to understand the importance of his name and to call upon His name.

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

TEHILLIYM (PSALMS) 50:15 את CEPHER

I am YAHUAH: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

YESHA’YAHU (ISAIAH) 42:8 את CEPHER

Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that speaks: behold, it is I.

YESHA’YAHU (ISAIAH) 52:6 את CEPHER

Thus says YAHUAH the Maker thereof, YAHUAH that formed it, to establish it; YAHUAH is his name; Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.

YIRMEYAHU (JEREMIAH) 33:2-3 את CEPHER

Submit yourselves therefore to YAHUAH. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

YA`AQOV (JAMES) 4:7 את CEPHER

Then Kepha said unto them, Repent, and be immersed everyone of you in the name of YAHUAH-YAHUSHA for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the RUACH HA’QODESH.

MA’ASIYM (ACTS) 2:38 את CEPHER

For YAH so loved את eth-the world, that he gave את eth-his את eth- yachiyd, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

YAHUCHANON (JOHN) 3:16 את CEPHER

YAHUAH is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

TEHILLIYM (PSALMS) 46:1 את CEPHER

The righteous cry, and YAHUAH hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

TEHILLIYM (PSALMS) 34:17 את CEPHER

For whosoever shall call upon the name of YAHUAH shall be saved.

ROMAIYM (ROMANS) 10:13 את CEPHER

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of YAH is eternal life through YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH our ADONAI.

ROMAIYM (ROMANS) 6:23 את CEPHER

And now why do you tarry? arise, and be immersed, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of YAHUAH.

MA’ASIYM (ACTS) 22:16 את CEPHER

YAHUAH is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows them that trust in Him.

NACHUM (NAHUM) 1:7 את CEPHER

Behold, I am YAHUAH, the ELOHAI of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

YIRMEYAHU (JEREMIAH) 32:27 את CEPHER

Trust in EL-YAHUAH with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

MISHLEI (PROVERBS) 3:5-6 את CEPHER

In my distress I called upon YAHUAH, and cried unto my ELOHIYM: he heard my voice out of his Temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

TEHILLIYM (PSALMS) 18:6 את CEPHER

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that YAHUAH is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the Truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the Truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

YAHUCHANON RI’SHON (1 JOHN) 1:5-10 את CEPHER

I can go on and on with verses that tell us to call upon the name of Yahuah, but I digress. It is very clear from scripture that He wants us to know His name and call upon it. But man has done everything in their power to lie, cheat, and steal that from us. I think Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) describes it best.

How do ye say, We are wise, and the Torah of YAHUAH is with us? Lo, certainly the lying pen of the scribes has made it a lie. The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the Word of YAHUAH; and what wisdom is in them?

YIRMEYAHU (JEREMIAH) 8:8-9 את CEPHER

People constantly believe they have the truth in religion. Everyone claims to know the truth. Like they privatize the truth in their own endeavors. But let me tell you the truth, not a single religion on Yahuah’s green earth tells you the whole truth. You want the truth, you have to seek it out. Study to find yourself approved.

It is the glory of ELOHIYM to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

MISHLEI (PROVERBS) 25:2 את CEPHER

How can you have faith if it isn’t tested? Iyov (Job) was tested. Avraham was tested. Everyone has been tested. And that testing refines us. Purifies us. We have faith but without works our faith is dead. Our works are found in the Torah of Mosheh. Which is an erroneous term as it is actually Yahuah’s Torah that was given to Mosheh. The Torah has been with us since the beginning. It’s the Word that became flesh. Yahuah created everything THROUGH His Word. That word is Messiah. Yahusha.

But I don’t say any of this for my glory. It’s all for the Father.  I love Yahuah and want to be obedient. Don’t you? Ya’aqov the brother of messiah I think says it best.

What does it profit, my brethren, though a man say he has belief, and have not works? can belief save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit? Even so belief, if it has not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, You have belief, and I have works: show me your belief without your works, and I will show you my belief by my works. You believe that there is one YAH; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But will you know, O vain man, that belief without works is dead? Was not Avraham our father justified by works, when he had offered את eth- Yitschaq his son upon the altar? See how belief wrought with his works, and by works was belief made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, Avraham believed YAHUAH, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of ELOHIYM. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by belief only. Likewise also was not Rachav the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

YA`AQOV (JAMES) 2:14-25 את CEPHER

You know, a thought occurred to me. There is that Christian song that says, “Bless your holy name,” and yet Christians and Jews alike deny the name of our creator when it’s told to them.

They blaspheme His name by striking through his name. Most don’t know they are doing this. The Jews on the other hand know they are striking through His name and that is horrible. They are breaking the third commandment and most don’t even realize they are doing it. Our creators name is holy. Set apart. Qodesh. They sing songs about “praising the name” but they don’t give praise and glory to His very name when they do it. It truly is sad.

The name of our creator in the original form that he inscribed in stone forever is 𐤄𐤅𐤄𐤉.

Now that is:

𐤉 Yod pronounced as the Y in you

𐤄 Hey pronounced as the H in Hey

𐤅 Waw or Uau pronounced as the double o in Too

𐤄 Hey again as in Hey.

That’s Yahuah. If we are gonna sing songs of praising our creators name, whose name is Yahuah, then shouldn’t we want to praise His very name? The name that is above all names. The name by which we are saved. I find it despicable that people think the name isn’t important. In conclusion, I would like to add that not one man on Yahuah’s green earth has the whole truth. If you want the truth you have to search it out. Study to find yourself approved. I love you all.

Shalom,

David

HalleluYAH! I do not understand how people do not want to respect Him and attempt to call Him The Name that we have access to. I think all the variations are beautiful. Apparently the Native Americans had different variations with only slight changes depending on the tribe , With my studies the pronunciation I can trace back is YAHUAH also but I think the reverence we have and our attempts are important, like when a child calls out to their parent , even if it’s not perfect when they are young, it’s precious
People try to say when He says “My Name” He means the character of His Name , well , OF COURSE, that also but why not be on the safe side and know that it probably also has a literal meaning? We are made in His image and do we appreciate when people attempt to call us by our proper name??? Or are there some who don’t mind being called “person” or “human” sheesh it’s so simple. Names are important and have important meanings throughout all scripture.
    Great scripture references and article
    Blessings and shalom!
